Mark Cuban was Dr. Winston’s student and after seeing Dr. Winston on Jeopardy!, he hired him to do player analytics for the Dallas Mavericks, leading them to an NBA Championship in 2011.

Microsoft asked him to write their book

He developed spreadsheet modeling coursework for Harvard Business School Publishing, and has taught or consulted on using Excel to improve decision-making at Microsoft, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Pfizer, Verizon, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and many other organizations.
